Road Funds, Gravel and Contributions

A big THANKS to all who contributed to the Road Funds! Last week we had $1240.62 in the account. We just paid for the new gravel ($810), which leaves us with $430.62.

If you haven't contributed to the Road Association, please consider doing so -- the Fall and Winter seasons will be here soon, and we will DEFINITELY need more gravel and repair when that hits.

Spring 2012 Meeting

It's time for a Road Meeting. Please fill out the survey for the best time to meet. We can all meet at my house: #700

Tentative Agenda:

1. Welcome New Roadies!!
We have two new families on Rohrbach Road: Don and Melissa recently moved into the Ragona's Cabin, and The Young's moved into the Holden house. Welcome to the road!

2. Road Repair
Yes, we have potholes. And yes, they need repair. We need to spend some time and money on this before it gets out of control. Let's talk about pothole repair and other things that can help the road.

3. Treasurer Report
We still have some cash in our account, but it's time we add to the account. Bring a checkbook to the meeting!

4. Fundraising
One of these days it would be great to have a Rohrbach garage sale: get rid of your junk, and make some money for the road. Let's talk.

5. Other stuff

PLEASE VOTE on your preferred time to meet ASAP. Thanks!
Daniel

Garage Sale for Rohrbach Rd?

What do you think about having a garage sale, with the proceeds going to fund Rohrbach Road maintenance? I'm sure we all have nifty things that can afford to donate to the Road.

Chris Detherage has volunteered the use of his front yard, and Alan Pace volunteered his tent.

Three dates to consider are Saturday October 9, Saturday October 16, and Saturday October 23.

Please vote your preference ASAP on the survey on this page.

It Might Get Loud

This Friday, July 9, from 12n-4p, the Baxters invite the road to join the School of Rock All-Stars in a send-off picnic. The School of Rock is a music performance school with chapters all across the country, with thousands of kid nationwide. This week, the best 30 kids from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado are kicking off their summer tour, visiting the entire Northwest. Noah is one of them. The tour starts Thursday in Portland, and moves to Cascade Locks on Friday night. In between, they're stopping in Corbett for a picnic and jam session. Please join us if you can, at 700 NE Rohrbach. Just listen for the music. And if you can't, try and check out their concert that night at Cascade locks at 7pm (it's free).
